Fly Farthing

In this week’s episode, we get down with Oscar Valladares’ new Super Fly cigar, his first attempt at a full-bodied cigar and the first cigar he has made that includes Dominican tobacco.

Our pipe review was also released this summer at the 2019 IPCPR, Penny Farthing, the first new pipe tobacco from G.L. Pease in 2 years and his first shag cut offering.

Pastor Padron, Paul, and Dave head up episode four this week as Nick was in-flight to Florida for a wedding (no, not his). We covered everything from the difference bewteen graciously accepting a cigar from a friend and being a mooch, to how you can tell from your dog’s business that he has been feasting on your cat’s business. We also answered a listener’s question: what is your favorite cigar and why? Needless to say, we covered a wide range of topics in this one.

Kendra, the “Potion Master” of the 7-20-4 Lounge, wowed us with drinks that paired extremely well with what we were smoking. For the Oscar Super Fly, we had the limited edition Basil Hayden’s Caribbean Reserve Rye. For the G.L. Pease Penny Farthing, she mixed her own Cacao Caliente cocktail made with Herradura Double Barrel Twins Selection Tequila, Woodford Reserve Chocolate Bitters, Godiva Chocolate, Anchoe Reyes Chili Liqueur, and a Chile garnish.

While Kendra’s prowess at pairing drinks with our smokes is undisputed, the question remains: Is the Super Fly worthy of such an iconic name, and is Penny Farthing worth a ride or is it just another shag? Listen and find out here!
